Watermark #4: More and More!
The second Friday the 13th in a row brought another stroke of good luck our way when the fourth edition of Watermark was distributed. The sun smiled over Newport and it ALMOST made us not want to go back to work.
Today we started with Local Ocean, the Coffee House, Port Dock 1, Bay Market, and the Rogue Brewpub, getting feedback everywhere we went. Then it was over to South Beach to drop off copies at the Rogues Ales Brewery, and back over the bridge to Nye Beach, where we dropped off copies at Nye Beach Books, Café Mundo, Panini, Nana’s Irish Pub & Kitchen, the Sandbar & Grill, Nye Beach Market, and the Savory Café.
Loosely based around the theme of religion, Watermark #4 features a tale of love and Miller in “Let It Pour”; a recap- and-ramble session of Drippy’s, “Ramble On”; a profile of local photographer Dennis Moler (as well as a useful guide to drunk-dialing); and “A Long, Slow, Bumpy Ride,” a perspective by local columnist Noble at Heart.
Watermark is the ONLY local scene rag in Newport – the focus is on events, commentary, and local artist profiles – and we’re so glad our readers enjoyed the first three editions.
We’ve had a lot of great feedback and we want more, so if you’re planning to put on an event, want to advertise, or want to share a story idea, please send us an email so we can get it into the next issue. Watermark #5 is coming out on Friday, April 17.
